It's worth having a little look at Now TV, just don't be crazy enough to pay a £10 a day for sky sports access.

They have a little box they're flogging or a tenner at the moment, which is essentially a hobbled Roku Tv box. They were offering access to their Sky movies catalogue for £2.99 a month for six months. I think this offer has now expired though, but they seem to come up with these little gems every now and again.

At the moment you get a month free, you can also claim £16 cash back from Quidco, and it's then £8.99 a month. So technically you could have three months access for roughly £2, or £12 if you buy the Now TV box.

It's worth a look if movies are more your thing.

Alternatively, if you have some family or friends who have the full Sky package, they have four SkyGo accounts. You might be able to piggy back an account and use one of their logins to watch Sky through an Xbox or PS3. The only downside I've come across with this set up is you don't get access to the 'red' button for footy games. You're stuck with the main game they've decided to show.

Here you go guys, this might be more relevant to some than others:

Basically for £4.99 per monty you get access to Sky 1, Sky Atlantic, Sky Living, Sky Arts 1, Discovery Channel, MTV, GOLD, Disney and Fox. They're live channels, so not on demand stuff, but you also get access to box sets.

Depending on how you watch sky, it could be a good little alternative. The box to make this work through a tv is a tenner, so handy for multi room with kids etc. You don't get the movies unfortunately, and only a fool would pay for the sports at £10 a day through their service, but looks like a good deal if you predominantly just watch TV shows instead of movies.

You could add Netflix or now film on, or even their own sky movies at £8.99 per month. Or just jump between the three cancelling every month or two when you've exhausted they're film libraries :-)
