Do we have any Netball fans on the forum? Does your other half play Netball?

What's the correct term for a Netball player, is it Netballer?

It seems to be a pretty hot topic on the forum today.

@McMagic

Also, let's not assume gender here, is it acceptable for men to play Netball? Could we one day see a gender neutral league?

Let's keep it respectful so as not to offend anyone, Netball can cause emotions to run high sometimes.

I played in a fund raising game a few years ago.
Some bird proper clattered me early doors.
Snide as you like.

Did get me own back, wasn't a proud moment in my sporting life like.

I thought they only recognize female netball teams, the other ones are unofficial. As a result not many men play it.

Korfball is more interesting, it's mix-gendered, every team has 4 male and 4 female players. You may only defend a member of the opposite team of the same gender though.

I've played mixed netball with staff at school. I've also played basketball.

The former is less quick and frantic, but also requiring a great deal more thought and skill in my opinion. There's no backboard to aim for, to make life easier, and since you can't just run with the ball you have to think far more about what to do with it.

Like all of the sports they seem to embrace in the states, they're ones made easier with kit.

Whoa whoa whoa mate this is a bit of a controversial subject is it not?!?!

Yes, have you played?

Is that true? Seems a bit off if that's the case.

You know what lads, it's political correctness gone mad isn't it!! AMIRITE??
