Negativity on GOT

Increasingly, the negativity on this forum seems to eclipse all other opinion. Strange, considering it's a fan forum and fans are meant to support, first and analyse second.

This isn't just the usual Evertonian pessimism that stems from previous false dawns and bitter memories - the kind of downbeat perspective that is really a form of protection from getting carried away with ourselves, e.g A good win (say, beating United) which usually segues seamlessly into some predictable catastrophe (getting knocked out of the cup by Shrewsbury say).

I'm talking about a constant withering negativity. Stuff like: Moyes is ****, he's tactically naive. He's afraid to play youth players.

Of course if Moyes then played his youth players and we'd lost it'd be Rodwell just isn't going to make it. Barkley is crap, he's not fulfilling his potential.

Then there's all the point scoring crap about Kenwright and the board, that spills into every thread. The mods have tried, mercifully, to contain it within one über-tedious thread, but its poisoning virtually every thread by certain members alluding to it, over and over again.

I don't even mind people casting negative opinions about the club, the board, the players, the stadium, a certain performance, Moyes etc. It's just that recently that's all you ever get on this damn forum. Complaints and people whinging that Moyes will play Neville or Bily or something.

Lighten the F up people. We are seventh. We are winning without performing well, but there's time and Moyes's sides usually improve over the season.

We have good youth players coming through and Drenthe looks like Pienaar on steroids (incidentally, good job Pienaar didn't stay as he's been injured most of the time).

With Coleman and Drenthe we have pace on the wings. Fellaini in the centre we have some steel, and Ossie provides the creativity.

Baines is class as ever. Howard is still a good keeper. Cahill is still a thorn in the side of any team he plays against. Moyes is still the best pound-for-pound manager in world football. And Everton is still a grand old team to play for.

Anyone else, a bit sick of the negativity here?

ok, well we have started rubbish(again) only this time we are winning, so eventually we will become ace again and win more, we are gonna finish 4th for FFS!

I can't get excited about finishing 7th/8th every season whilst we are stagnant and also being 17 years without a trophy, forgive me

I get excited every time I hear z-cars or see the boys run out with the sun shining off their blue shirts.

Perhaps something is wrong with me.

That when your at the match though

This is a forum where everyone loves a good old FUME

Is that what we settle for, Z-Cars and Millionaires wearing Blue shirts? I wanna see trophies and us winning

This thread has turned negative already ffs.

I agree with you Neon, I wish people would stop crying all the time just coz we're not champions of the world.

The odd moan is alright, especially how some members make it funny. Light hearted.

But thread after thread about "why are we not owned by billionaires...", blah blah blah. People need to get over it.

This is not the UN, NATO, Team America, Government, politics etc.

We are spectators, who pay to see 11 men wearing the Everton shirt, and we cheer them on and hope they win.

Can't believe I even needed to say all this ffs.

I hate the fact that whenever you try and look at the positives of a line up or a sale, you get pitchforked by the meltdown gang.

Led me to not post half as much as I want to.

Although, I understand where Cena is coming from as he follows the blues bleedin everywhere.

You'll also notice tht Cena very rarely starts threads on negative stuff. Hats off mate.

And I want to see GOT like it used to be; less moaners and whingers and more upbeat fans cheering the team on.

Looks like we're both screwed.

Ale House Forum is what you need then mate, yes we have some good young players, but there is no guarantee they won't be sold to teams with money & ambition, we have a good manager, who personally i think will be at Spurs next year, we make losses every season financially, and we get told we need a new ground every week but i don't hear anyone from Everton talk about future stadium plans? Were are Everton going to be in 5 years time, whilst everyone around us is moving forward. Hard to be upbeat with all that to take into consideration.

I cheer and shout the team on every week, but that's for the match, bigger picture what is there to be upbeat about?

Thanks mate. Believe me i don't set out to be negative, i'm not Davek (only joking Dave) but i can't see any plan from Everton to provide a bright future other than plodding along
