kenwright has made an appearance in the press office and was on the radio (city) just, praised the players and moyes - and has said hickson is in hospital and wished him all the best from everyone at the club.

cant see this appearance going unchecked in some quarters.
 

i have never ever heard him on radio city after a game until today, i think it is a little bit naughty to pop his head above the parapet to bask in the glory of such a fine win, especially when large sections of the support are a little unhappy with him personally and some of his decisions.

i expect someone to seize upon this and twist it in a malign manner, have seen it before.

Really? I've heard him a few times. Last season when we beat someone significant he came on air.
 

i can, the problem as i see it is that he doesnt turn out when we lose, so he is cherry picking his moments, and it could be spun that he is capitalising on the moment and then hiding at other times. currently he is rarely in the public eye to be shot at, im not wanting to see him unduly criticised but his contrary appearances leave a little to be desired.
 
What's he going to say after a defeat though? He works in the media industry so I'm sure he knows the rules of the game, if he goes on air after a defeat and lays into the team it's unlikely to do much good.

Cant really see what the issue is - can't think of any chairmen who stick their bonce on the telly or the radio after every game.

Cant see anything wrong with going for it on a good day like today. Some may look for more sinister motives or add some spin to try and knock the guy - but I think it proves once again that he is a genuine fan who was just basking in the glory - as you do(y)
 
When we lose I hide myself in a hole, I don't talk to the mrs... you expect blue billy to talk to the press...

What would he say? In my eyes the chairman will probably be asked for comment after a newsworthy event. So if we lost 7-1 he would probably be asked his opinion. Whether he'd give it, and more to the point what it would achieve, however I don't know. The same is true with a victory. If we'd just beaten Scunthorpe 1-0 I doubt anyone would give a monkeys what he thought, but we've just won 7-1 in the Premier League and he's happy as Larry. What's the problem? :huh:
 
hes not available to be quizzed over certain trivial points like the ground move plans, evertons increasing debts, ticketing fiascos, but he is available to trot out some sound bites after a fine win.

consistency the key.
