National team fans

Who are the worst fans you have encountered? We are talking international support rather than domestic sides.

My mate has been to the Euros to support Republic of Ireland and says he had a laugh with most, but always finds the biggest bells are from England.

It seems the English are disliked by many, are there any others with a similar reputation?

I found the Japanese to be quite dull when I saw them at the Olympics. One family looked like they'd cut a football in half and made their kid wear it as a hat, that's about as exciting as it got.

I honestly 'don't get' supporting a national team. Ingerlund 'fans' are the biggest gaggle of bells gathered since the sermon on the mount so there.

Barmy Army. Beauts.
Tartan Army. Face painted banter boys who are fine until the game kicks off and they start getting played off the park.

The video footage from Marseille showing Russian fans going on the rampage would surely be useful in answering this thread.

As for me, I don't watch much international football on tv. Certainly wouldn't ever bother attending it in person.

Yep.

England fans are the worst of the worst. I liken them to Kopites - got banned on here once for doing so, but it's true. The similarities are extensive to the point where you wouldn't really be able to distinguish the two if they were in front of you.

Americans for me.
They take the whole thing way too seriously.
