I usually get one on the away if I get one but like to keep the home plain.

But this year I got Baines on the home because he's that cool.
Yep, if I were to consider getting someone's name it would only be Baines.

my 7 year old nephews shirt has arrived last weekend, didn't have anything on the back, 70 euros inc p+p, thought that was plenty for a seven year old,but it doesn't look right,so into town today to get his age and name on the back.he better support them after this !.

and get this, went into Lifestyles sports today, there were two teenagers working there and I asked to get number and name put on shirt, they told me that they only put on premiership team shirts............I was shocked, genuinely shocked.a customer came in and I had to ask him to tell them who Everton were and what division they were in,he laughed at them.still they wouldn't do it.a mother was in there and she told them also.they wouldn't budge, and their manager was at lunch so if I could come back later......I walked out in disgust.

I have a couple hockey sweaters (jerseys/kits... and had. only have one now since the move) and a few old kits friends picked up for me when visiting Scotland. no names. terrified of the scenario too many above had happen.

Going to get a new kit, love a bunch of the players, would consider them... even Alcaraz (live in Paraguay now, so bridge the gap from my club to my current country), but he doesn't play (well) enough.

Honestly, will probably just go blank though. Save some cash and some embarrassment should the player eventually winge his way out.

And as for the Patriots jersey - if I ever got one, the who is easy. BRUSCHI!

@Garrick, you should get it with hero printing, but I wouldn't do your own name. That's fine if someone else gets it for you (when spelled right).

For a child it's alright, but I dunno if I'd wear a kit with my name on it, even if it was given to me.

My past jersey/shirt experience:

Glenn Robinson, Milwaukee Bucks - Turned out well enough, was traded a few years after I got it. It was a gift when I was young.

Mark Chmura, Green Bay Packers - Another gift when I was young. The man should be in jail for sexual assault. I didn't buy any jerseys myself for a long time because of this one.

Alcides Escobar, Milwaukee Brewers - First purchase of my own. Thought he was our shortstop of the future. Traded mere months after I got the shirt. I wore it to exactly one game where he was on the team.

Stellar record, really. That's why I like @TX Bill's idea of playing it safe with Hibbo :p

If I ever was going to put a name on my Everton shirt, there would have only been one choice.

Hibbert
My son always had Hibbert on his shirt until last season. He said it was because he played right back for his team, had never scored and was also a little bit [Poor language removed] they had a lot in common.

Heh....I was actually a RB in my playing days as well, but unlike Hibbert, I scored once or twice. But I completely understand.

I remember getting a shirt for Christmas a few years back, asked for bilyaletdinov on the back just cause it was the most expensive one to get printed. Ah the joys of not having to pay for the shirts...
