Awesome, lid.
An important cultural question from an American over to all of you on the other side of the pond.

In Yankland, it's most common to get a player's name and number on any jersey or other sort of sporting memorabilia you'd buy. It's kind of a personal statement about which player on the team you identify with most.

You do see people get their own names on stuff, but that's pretty damn tacky to be honest. Having no name is very, very rare. Happens occasionally with association football clothing, but that's really it.

So, in advance of buying my first Everton shirt (the new home), what do y'all do?

(Personally, I'm thinking either no name, Oviedo, or Coleman. Haven't decided yet.)

If you're older than the player never get his name.

If you're old enough to pay for the shirt yourself don't get someone's name because it's weird.

still got my Fellaini kit collecting dust in my cupboard. One day maybe I will be able to wear it again. *hopes we sign fellaini for 5 mil"

Mate got his name on the back of his shirt once, and on a matchday people kept shouting his name out down Goodison Road.
