Naismith/Mirallas hypocrisy

Player Valuation: £2.5m
yeah, bugs me this and I wondering whether it bugged(like an centipede) anyone else?

Whenever Naismith makes a mistake it's hounded upon and he's criticised for about a week, no matter how trivial the mistake is whether it be a mis placed pass or shot gone wide. However, if Mirallas makes an error then nothing gets said. If he's anonymous for games (Liverpool, Fulham, Sunderland, Arsenal all in recent weeks) nothing is made of it.

Isn't it time to treat all our players the same instead of picking favourites, I mean Anichebe would get jeered for not celebrating when scoring, Jelavic scores 1 goal in 20 games and people are still singing his name

Also, I believe Naismith should start at the weekend and then against Chelsea.

Mirallas is a much better player. It's that simple.

In pre-season people were pleased with Naismith, he looked boss in the AEK Athens game. There was no predetermined dislike of him. He's continually underwhelmed since then.

Mirallas on the other hand shows flashes of brilliance, his work rate needs improving and he makes mistakes, but he's also capable of producing a game winning moment as he did against Stoke and Spurs (should have been).

Anichebe was terrible for years, and in the past two seasons he's started to turn it around. The reason people sang Jelavic's name is because as soon as he arrived he was boss.

In short, a player's past performances will always influence how the crowd reacts to them.

I honestly think im a better player than Naismith.

I can trap, pass and run with the ball.

And it wouldnt matter which postion I played, I may have some fitness concerns tho.

The difference is that Mirallas has the ability to do something special (eg that goal against Stoke), Naismith doesn't. Naismiths default seems to be a mistake or anonymity and when he makes a mistake, it is yet another mistake whereas Mirallas can redeem himself with a moment of brilliance.
I would like to see Naismith partnered with Jelavic though rather than playing as a wide midfielder

Yep. Mirallas makes mistakes sure, but he's got more potential in his little toe to make something happen than Naismith.

Naismith has had 1 good game for us in Pre-season. He got in the team for a run when mirallas was injured and couldn't even do the simple things right. He looked like a league 1 player ffs! Whilst im not one who thinks getting on a players back helps, There's only so long you can put up with such poor performance before naturaly groans and the such will come from the stands.

Players like mirallas will always have bad days. The great days more than make up for them. Even on a bad day there's still that moment of brilliance that could change the game.

Jelavic earned his support last season. The first half of this season he was still ok and even his worse form latter season has not been as bad as Naismith. Make no mistake tho...jelavic's time will also run out but he's showed what he's capable of and people have just been willing it to come back...Naismith has never showed anything to suggest he deserves to be playing in the PL never mind Everton!

Get rid in the summer, even if we just loan him out, whatever happens...with no European football we have no need for him, or should I say we need better!

I would counter-argue - why the love for Naismith from Moyes and the hate/lack of belief in Oviedo. Oviedo has looked far more promising than Naismith in the incredibly few games he has been given.

We always have a player like Oveido who after a couple of promising sub apps everyone goes overboard that he's not getting game time moyes hates him ect ect...

I think baring naismiths's run when mirallas was injured, at which point Oveido was being used more, moyes has not trusted or wanted to use what's on the bench as he clearly doesn't believe there of the standard needed.

Oveido is a young Costa Rican LB who if needs be can play left wing as a full in. He's more than likely in a adjustment period of his big move to England. Inexperienced at PL level and I know it's a cliche but moyes does see him in training everyday. Sat in our arm chairs I'm sure we don't understand the full scale of things or exactly for what reasons he's not been used a little more.
