Nadal vs Djokovic

If only there was some way to deal with this kind of behaviour, and especially serial abusers...:coffee:

Agassi and Sampras had some epic matches. Would have loved to see these three come through a few years earlier, or Sampras a bit later, to see the four really go against each other year after year. For me Sampras/Federer would have been the best, but Nadal would still dominate on Clay.

Didn't have much time for Sampras when he was playing, but had to admit the guy had amazing talent... but I can't see how his game would have stood up to an on-form Djokovic, who is like a much, much better modern-day version of Agassi. Times were different then; different surfaces played even more differently to how they do now. Grass was much faster, and you either developed a natural volley game like Sampras/Henman, or you were a baseliner. Wimbledon was the worst GS tournament by some way during the 1990s because it was just dominated by big servers and breathtaking rallies were very rare.

That is all good.

But you put Henman next to Sampras. Henman. Not Edberg, McEnroe, Becker or Rafter. But Tim Heman.

I still think Agassi is the best returner I’ve ever seen.
Agassi wasn't a 'serve and volley' player though. No doubt one of the best returns of serve ever, which is why his rivalry with Sampras was so good!

The most interesting player who I think to pluck out of history and stick them alongside the current players would be Borg. His game was basically the start of the power baseline game, and I think he had the physique and temperament that he could mix it with the Nadals & Djokovics given modern day training.
