My Grandad's funeral today. He was a kopite but still a good man He will be sorely missed. The song you'll never walk alone will be being played as he get's carried out of the church. My mum wants us all to song along, she was however smiling when she asked this of me, as she knows that won't happen, however this song now for me will not be associated with LFC but my Grandad. RIP Albert YNWA

R.I.P Albert

YNWA was played at my Nans and Grandads funerals who where massive Kopites so know where you are going from with this one

Honestly mate, there's no shame in bellowing out that song in honour of your Grandad lad, belt it out and make him proud...I bet it would also make your mum proud as punch to see how much respect you are paying your grandad.

RIP Albert.

It's a bloody good song who's connotations with them lot shouldn't put you off singing it, it'll be an incredibly emotional moment of that there's no doubt.

RIP.

Belt it out mate. Some things are much more important and I hope the funeral goes as well as a funeral can possibly go. Sorry for your loss man.

I hope it goes ok. Funerals can be kind of weirdly ok sometimes- if you think of the good times with people you love that you maybe havent seen for while.

I remember at my grandads funeral we had a huge game of footie on the green outside his house and a big family barbecue afterwards- was actually a really nice send off and decent day.

I'm sorry for your loss.

My uncle, who was a LFC fan, died suddenly at a young age three years ago and "You'll Never Walk Alone" was to be played, when it started up it just felt right.

It really is a beautiful song, I have it on my ipod now, although Z-Cars has well more plays:)

Take care, mate.

rip to your grandad , do what you feels right at the time mate.
When my brother in law died after a long illness, he had that played, but id told him before i would walk out if they did,
weeks before he died, he said you have my permission mate.
... anyway day of the funeral that song came on , infront of a packed church i got up, everbody was saying you cant sit down, my uncle in his wheelchair was actually hanging on to me to stop me, but i wasnt going to stop, even the preist stopped, as i walked from the front of the church, all eyes on me,
i was having second thoughts but id started now so had to carry on, got to the doors, they were not only shut but locked, the racket i made trying to get them open,
then finally ,i turned around, every eye in the church on me, as the last verse of ynwa belts out, and right at the front among the disgusted faces , my sister his wife in bulk, he had left instructions for his funeral and rule one was lock the doors so that soft fooker edge has to stay right till the last note , he had the last laugh on me mate........ moral of the story sometimes its better to swallow a bit of pride than make a show of yourself.
