[Woolverhampton_Blue]

Watching Les Misérables (2012) with my girlfriend, and it’s awful. Read the book as a teenager and remember it being brilliant. Why ruin what could be an epic film with a bunch of crap songs?

Am I being misérable? Do you like musicals?

Recently went to see 'Tina' at the Empire, and thought it was brilliant. A musical, done well, is great entertainment.

That said, going to see Back to the Future the musical next month so I'll report back.

Why suspend a decent story with pointless singing and dancing, is my view, as u twiddle my thumbs waiting for a god-awful thrown together melody to finish before the plot resumes.

Having said that, Les Miserables is brilliant. I like opera too. Life isn't simple.

My wife loves them so I’ve had to endure at least 20 of them, mostly bladdered to be fair. The worst were ABBA, Lion King and Cats.
The highlight was getting kicked out just before the start of Chicago in the west end because I’d bought dodgy tickets.

It's brilliant

Not my thing: the plot is kicking along with some decent dialogue and then people, no matter friends or enemies, break out into a little song and dance for no reason. And then pretend like it never happened.

I’ve never felt so gaslit in all my life.
