I've developed a slight addiction to watching all these people react to bands and songs for the first time. It's actually a genius idea. I'm a seasoned veteran at this point, but it still gobsmacks me to hear young people, or really anyone say with a straight face "this is my first time reacting to U2 (or insert insanely popular act). Have never heard anything from them or know much about them so here goes..."

This one actually made the news. I love it so much.

I watch No Life Shaq

and Knox Hill and Stevie Knight

That's a podcast but they both have their own reaction channels. Never thought it would be something that interests me but I do like them

This fella came up on my recommendation's, you can see he genuinely loves the music and is blown away by Pink Floyd, doesn't keep pausing it every 2 seconds aswell

The point of reactions is to give views on the music, hence the pauses. Most of them will tell you, if you want to listen to the song, go and listen to the song.

They can react without pausing constantly, the video I posted as proof, reacting to the music and enjoying it with out stopping the flow of the song after every sentence and ruining the actual song their trying to react to for 'the 1st time'

You see I listen too rap reactors and they like to try and pick out the bars and explain rhyme schemes within the verses. But still they are reactors if you want to hear the song go to the song page, not much of a reactor if you don't do any reacting apart from bobbing your head along.

Each to their own though mate, not trying to tell you what's right and what's wrong;)

Proper addictive aren’t they?

I guess it’s the closest you can get to reliving your favourite songs for the first time again. Albeit through someone else.

Big fan of Rick Beato’s reactions to the various Spotify top 10’s. Sometimes Pop, sometimes Metal or the top 10 rock tunes on Spotify in this case.

He’s an actual professional producer and musician so he talks about the music theory/chord structure for each track as he goes through.

His vids in general are pretty good. His ‘What makes this song great’ series is excellent, where he breaks down classic rock and pop songs, how they were made and all that. Highly recommended!

Rick's great.

Totally off topic, but do you have any other music production / mixing / theory etc youtube or podcast recommendations?

(BTW producelikeapro and 12tone also do some good song breakdowns)

He was holding back those tears at the end too, he was that blown away by it.

What a song to introduce yourself to Floyd though. It also massively helps listening to it on quality headphones / buds too, as you pick up all the whispers and back ground stuff, that you don`t pick up normally.

Still gives me the shivers every time I hear it.

Noize London is a quite good mix of production/studio tips and tricks. Very electronic music centric though:

Also a big fan of Christian Henson. He runs Spitfire Audio (I’m a fan of their plugins) as well as Pianobook.com and the free LABS plugin company. He mainly deals with film/tv scoring and sampling.

Most of my other go-to’s are very Ableton-centric haha
