If you are ever in a bar in Munich that has a tree stump in the middle of it, ask the bar staff for a hammer and some nails to play Nageln. Then basically you all stand around a tree stump holding your pints in one hand and trying to knock your oppos nail into the stump with das hammer. The last person to get the nail into the stump buys a round of schnapps.
Bizarre...After 10 minutes I had thumbs like a blind cobbler.
*note the hammer is hollow so you have to deadly accurate and hit the nail with the rim of the hammer!

Munich - town center, hofbrauhuas, other beer halls (Augustiner Braustuben was my fave) , if not too cold, English Garden.
Day trip to Salzburg, see the old town area, go up the Hohensalzburg fortress.
