I read the vote today needed 14 teams to pass new rules barring loans between teams under the same ownership umbrella.
We were one of the one voting against it, no doubt due to 777’s influence but hopefully just out of petty spite too as the EPL are against it.

Right, so no promising player ever came from a club that wasn’t successful?
Not that's gonna come here on loan to turn around our fortunes. Quite disgraceful that any club apart from Newcastle voted against this ban. Let's see how long it takes for them to take one of the best players from Saudi while contributing nothing to their wages - if and when said player runs the show against us I'm sure we won't be so much in favour of the system then.

Did the ban get through or not? Sources say there was a vote amd a handful voted agsinst the ban but nobody yet has mentioned the outcome.

If it happened and has been allowed in the past then it would be do Everton for it to be banned the point at which Everton could for once benefit.

Feels like cheating though. Just like allowing (and having) 5 subs is cheating.

Don't get why only Prem clubs get a vote. A good chance that at least one relegated club will be owned in such a way.

In principle, it's not great. Yet, when you flip the coin, it will benefit us in the long run. After all, 777 are involved with Genoa, Standard Liege, Hertha Berlin, Sevilla, Red Star FC, Melbourne Victory & Vasco de Gama.
