It must be his non-stop domestic footballing duties that has forced his hand...

Baffling decision. Isn't international football pretty much all he does?

He can ride that Retired International footballer for years on the bench. The only way he'll be affected pocket book wise is if someone sees him play.

Yeah, I mean it's not like he'll get another few years of bench warming on the back of playing less games. It's bizarre.

Plus, he's played world cup knock out football for his country, where as for everton he plays carling cup games. It's like quitting medical school to concentrate properly on your job in retail.

Very odd move for Niko Bellic. Agree with posted above that international football pretty much all he does. Nice work if you can get it tho sitting down at the weekend and earning your wages.

Ambition baby.

Did he just say to himself one day "You know what will really get me ahead of Howard in the pecking order, if I play even less games. Boom! I am so smrat."

I might be wrong, but sure this happened like 3 weeks ago or something.

He said something about how its not fair on his international team mates because he might miss a chance because he's not as Sharp as he should be because he doesn't get regular football.

or was it pride, or even respect for his country, not wanting to be picked on past performances, but allowing someone else playing regular football to have their chance?

always feel sorry for the fella - he's not a *bad* goalie, but as he plays so few games, when he does get to play, his teammates are not familiar with him or confident... but there's little he can do about it as I doubt howard would be dropped except for a severe injury (amputation?)... he doesn't play in the U21 reserves either - yeah, I know he's playing tonight, but I don't remember him playing in any of their other games.
