I have never seen such an out poor of grief of a millionaire footballer in my life...

people die of heart attacks every day - good people, soldiers die fighting for justice - young children get hit by cars or suffer with health... yet Muamba seems to get the most press in the country the last week- consistently.. and the honour that he is being showed - anyone would think he was a Diana... or someone who has dedicated his life to others... he is not even dead and he is recovering...I would hate to think what would happen to the media if anything happened mourinho...we would probably have to change the name of London or Mourindon just to show we care...and that we are not cold heartless bastards. Muamba has shown that his heart attack and therefore his worth is greater than the 1000's of brits who actually die everyday - and brits who are not rich and have given back...

Now Bolton are building a memorial mosaic to him?? He is still alive though? What the hell is going on?:unsure::unsure::unsure:

Glad he is on the mend.

What I find sad is that it takes a potential fatality to unite football and football fans. I understand tribalism and rivalry, but at some point there must be a kernel of shared ground for the love of the game and the future of ALL clubs.
The sooner the FA start to look after the game and build towards the long term benefits for all (not just themselves and their corporate cash cows) then not only will grass roots football flourish, more athletes will be produced and British football can regain its place at the top of world leading domestic, national and international footballing greatness.

Anyway, watching Marc Vivien Foe die on the field is a footballing tragedy that will stay with me until I die, I feel the sooner heart screenings and base level tests (like in Italy for all youngsters playing) is the way to go towards looking after the lives of all players, not just those at premier league level but all the way through every tier.

Get back playing soon Fabrice!
