OK, I;ve gone for two sources, the mirror and the Daily Mail because I couldn't believe it when I read that Dan Gosling, who demanded to play central midfield couldn't break into the Newcastle team. He's now been toted on loan. The grass really is greener up in Newcastle Dan, eh?

From Everton to Doncaster, Dan, the career is really looking up.

PS Thank you for that goal, will always be grateful for it.

I really liked him as a player too, kind of like a better Osman, had great positioning, and his goal against Man City was my personal favourite.

Im not saying he would have been brilliant, but had he stayed he would have been happy, and he would have added something abit different to our team.

But as per usual money talks, and he made a giant mistake. His own fault, he'll be in the championship next season full time, probably playing for Blackpool or something

He never really looked capable of becoming a Premiership player, but let's not take too much pleasure in his apparent downfall. He's only a young lad and I'm sure the duplicitous nature of his departure was at least partly due to bad advice from those around him (i.e. his agent).

Cheers for the goals Dan. You'll soon be competing with Lassana Diarra for that coveted center midfield berth though.

Maybe it's to help his rehabilitation, get some games under his belt?

Just a thought.

Probably their reasoning for it but if they thought he was going to break into their team once fit they would just play him in every reserve game until fit. Not ship him out to the championship.

I think though whats funny is that he was making demands when he played for us and now he can't break into the newcastle 11 and is being shipped out on loan.

There's a lot in that about his rehab, but he can't get in after some significant departures from the team, including a certain midfeld linch pin. I think his problem is that he was brought by the previous manager and I suspect that Pardew has taken a different view of his involvement in the team.

It is better to get real games than reserve footy, but I bet he will still have problems breaking into the team on a regular basis.

why would anyone want to put Doncaster Rovers on their CV... Imagine being Lassana Diarra. Arsenal Chelsea Portsmouth (meh) Real Madrid... Doncaster Rovers.

Imagine David Beckham at Preston!!!!

Gosling probably won't get in the team seeing as they are winning games. Ferguson has it spot on when he loans players out. Not only does it toughen them up but it gives them a view of where they could end up if they fail at utd.
