MPs to get 10% Pay Rise

Tip of the iceberg. After leaving office, he'll be making tens of millions in book deals, appearance fees, speeches, etc. Look at what the Clintons have raked in over the past 5 years.

Oh sure he will. But how does he earn that much when he is still President? Is he sponsored by Gillette or something?
 

It's a bizarre scenario. The independent body set up by the then-Labour government in 2009 to oversee MPs' pay and expenses has recommended that the salary for MPs should go up; Each party leader has come out straight away in fierce opposition, but millions of people blame MPs?

I'm against it. I presume almost anyone with a functioning brain is against it. But I don't understand why people are blaming MPs. They haven't asked for the pay rise, they didn't recommend the pay rise and they are trying to stop it.
