Lord Hanningford found guilty.

so he MAY go to prison, how many of us,had we defrauded our companies like that, would have been inside now.:@

Hardly setting a good example are they? Anyways, most managers/directors/CEO in whatever field they're in are just as bad, hence skimming their firm for whatever they can get.

P.S. Hang the fecker.

don't know if anyone saw Barek Obamas speech yesterday, great speech, full of the usual BS of how they and us have fought for peoples rights, equalities etc. wonder if he realised how many of them, without parlimentary privilige, would be behind bars now. yeah the magna carta is enshrined alright. pity its not worth the paper its printed on eh.

He'd only be joining Labour's Jim Devin, Eric Illsley and David Chaytor and the rest already there.

Parliamentary privilege only applies to certain things. Its also well deserved as MP's are meant to ask questions on behalf of their constituents. Its guaranteed under the law and should remain. I

As documented by the JAILING of the three Labour MPs above.

PS. the Magna Carter is nothing to do with Parliamentary Privilege. Its the Bill of Rights you're thinking of.

i dont know why you had to bring political parties into it, they are both as corrupt as each other. my point is the magna carta is SUPPOSED to enshrine justice for all, regardless of rank or station. as far as im concerned PP is a right that has been abused by all parties, and should be looked at, not withdrawn, just amended so they cannot be so stupid again.

You were the one who only mentioned one and not the other.

And the MAGNA CARTA is nothing to do with parliament or privilege within parliament. The magna carta is one document amongst several. The Bill of Rights grants parliament privilege although in law it's the Speaker of the House who basically is the one who enshrines the privledge of parliament.

As these four have shown, MPs are not above the law. Especially when it's nothing to do with parliamentary business inside parliament.

The other point is parliamentary business is all a matter of public record.

he was just the latest in a long line of corrupt politicians. in my opinion everyone of them who fiddled the expenses, should have been punished, because if we had done it, we would have. and they should be held to account to the same laws as us, and the same penalties.

They have. False accounting.
