I think Ling Ping or whatever his name is, is clutching big time.

Bottom line...Roman wouldn't have paid 13mill for avb, a manager with 1 year in the job, if he wanted Moyes

Moyes will also not delivery the champions league trophy the owner craves. He will also not be able to deal with the players egos

Er. Jen Chang is the senior editor of the Soccer section for Sports Illustrated. It's not like he's a nobody. If he says it, I believe it.

I think you don't give Moyes enough credit. But that's just my opinion.

David Moyes says a 'new breed' of owner undermines authority

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17306087

but does the owner have the right to get involved if hes pumping millions into the club?

Money in football is at the highest its ever been, so for a owner who puts money in is surely not going to be silent in the background if he has an opinion

End of the day I dont think managers have a huge amount of power anymore. Players have more power than them, as do the agents, as do the owners.

Moyes is in a safe position because our owner puts zero into the club and has no financial risk. When kenwright et all sink 20mill on a player Moyes buys and he flops, hell be on the other foot and asked to answer for his actions. It wont happen so he hasnt been in that position

Top money clubs have more at stake.

Hes also put himself out the running for the chelsea...if he was ever on the shortlist.

Moyes was manager at Preston before being appointed Everton boss in 2002 and, although he has been linked with other posts and has ambitions to win silverware, he maintains his current focus is firmly on his job at Everton.

He said: "I'd never be disrespectful to Everton. They have done a great job for me.

"They gave me that chance when I was young. I don't really want to hear any talk about any other clubs because I'm Everton manager.

"I hope there's a lot more to come from me and I hope there's a chance I might win some trophies along the line.

"I'm ambitious and I'm still young enough where there's time to try to do great things. I hope that's with Everton but l'm sure I will sit down at the end of the season with the chairman and see what we are doing."

Koff Roman.

If I were the owner, I'd pick the team, put myself on the wing, tell the fans they must cheer me or they can just bugger off...

Is your name flavio briatore cos watching that programme on qpr thats pretty much how he tried to run it- sending messages to the manager to tell him what subs to make etc!

Wish Kenwrong did get more involved in things.

"I say David old chap, would you mind awfully not playing Phillie cause he's bloody awful, worse than some of my plays arf arf".
