It is indeed. People wont say anything if things are good, it makes sense really.

Nah, people would always pick holes in something if that's how they are. As I said, the early days of this place there was a clear contrast between GOT and moaning places like Toffeeweb and Kipper. Heck in 2004 after we'd finished just above the relegation zone, Rooney had been sold and we'd been thrashed by Arsenal on the opening day lots of people were damn near suicidal. Alas we finished 4th that season, but still people would moan on various Everton sites. It's just how some are. Some are glass half full, some are glass half empty.

This is how i feel.

It shouldn't be hard work to support a football team but it is at the moment.

It's been a whole lot harder than this in the 25 years or so I've been watching Everton.

Holy crap...was that really 7 years ago when Arsenal hammered us on the opening day? Or have they done it twice recently?

I feel a little time-warped...could have sworn that were only 2 or 3 years ago.

Yeah, the Walter Smith era was my hardest time...never felt so uninterested...dour dour dour.

the Moyes years I reckon most of us will look back fondly on.

It's funny, when this forum first started it was always seen as the positive forum, with places like Toffeeweb always the place for moaners. I miss those days.

Ah that's true like, but then there was less of us, and we'd hardly talk footy at all to be honest. More people, more moaning I guess? Doesn't help we play worse footy now than we did a few years ago.

I'm still happy mate! :D

if the gods of football play ball, Moyes can redeem his entire career just by winning 3 key matches:

- beat Sunderland in the replay
- beat Liverpool in the semis (in what will hopefully be a memorable and very special occasion for both sets of fans...it falls on the anniversary of Hillsborough)
- beat probably Chelsea in the final

- additionally finish the league solidly, finishing top 8.

I for one would take back all my criticism of Moyes and his coaching team if he pulled this out of the bag, as it effectively redeems him from previous failures, plus gives us the chance to try out Europe again the following season.

all that's left to say is...C'MON EVERTON!!!!

REDEMPTION IS COMING!

The 2-0 vs Sunderland was perfect. Moyes and all his players played a blinder...and our fans made more noise than 40,000 in red 'n white.

Moyes the Redeemer will return on 14th April 2012
