have to admit we were awesome in the 1st half, chased absolutely everything down, got the ball down, played nice footy, one touch pass and move, it was really refreshing to watch. Just wish we could do it for a whole season and against gash teams, but yeah credit to moyes he does know how to set us up properly against teams that come here for a win, sadly there's only about 5 of them out of 19. Great to see droppy redknapp moaning about them "battering" us, we backed off, they hit the post and howard didnt exactly pull of any blinders.

also as a welshman, it is very sad to see bale diving a lot, such a talented player i wish he would kick this out of his game

Subs pinned us back 2nd half. No outlet or pace...and a 3rd centre half at one point.

Spurs had large chunks of possession, Parker controlled the game I thought

Wasn't overly impressed with cahill.

BUT we did look balanced, we did look threatening when we attacked.

I'm not saying Moyes is the only factor -- obviously the players play a big part -- but how Moyes approaches teams who will defend against us rather than attack has to be completely different, as it's a completely different job. But our approach is usually the same regardless of the opposition.

True. Moyes's sole tactic is generally to try and nick an early goal and protect it. Once he figures out that there are games in which we need to go at the opposition, we'll be in business. He does seem to be learning. The derby has low score draw written all over it though.

We defended really well. For all their possession, Saha's effort was their only clear cut chance. I don't buy it that Spurs forced us back. We dropped back. We could definitely have done with an out ball though. I thought Davey might have introduced Anichebe for the tiring Osman or Rodwell for Cahill and just instructed them to run upfield with it to kill some time.

We were really neat on the ball and didn't panic or play hoofball. Jelavic has the manner of Kanchelskis about him. I like what I've seen so far. Hopefully Pienaar and Drenthe can dovetail off him and we'll be more of a goal threat going forward.

I actually think moyes' subs 2nd half invited pressure! Drenthe didn do much wrong to b subbed!! He seemed pissed off and muttered away to self leaving pitch! I wuda put victor on too but we won so it don't matter :)

i think the club should take down/get rid of everything that mentions "the school of science"

before the club get done for false advertising!

In the first half mate, second half we did nothing but hoof ball, i can't even remember us stringing three passes together. I was really dissapointed with the second half tactics to be honest, it took the shine off an excellent first half. this tactic is the reason we hardly ever win by 2 goals or more, and also why i don't think we will ever win a trophie. hope i'm wrong.

I thought the team selection was good but i can't agree with people about the subs, except the one for one striker sub the other two totally messed up the balance of the team and didn't really make sense, more a wiff of desperation.

spurs are a good side but our second half tactics nearly ruined a really good first half. We helped spurs because of how we set up to defend.

Hell of a game to give 4-4-2 a go, and 60 minutes was a long time to wait with us being overrun in midfield and nothing getting to the two up top.
A game too soon to start Jags? And what had Osman done to deserve being half inched.

Lose to Sunderland in any way and this will be considered the turning point. Pienaar was trying to float into midfield (the point of a five man mid) leaving Kelly wide open and Anichebe oblivious.

Why 4-4-2.
