Is anyone else getting beyond fed up with it?

It seems he cant go a game without mentioning finances. And not only because we've played the mega rich in recent weeks - he's always banging on about it. When Stoke beat us he drew attention to" the £10 million striker they had up front" - conveniently forgetting having Yakubu and Bily sat on his bench...

Granted, we're skint - and we're all depressed about it - but emphasising that very fact every time he opens his mouth can't be constructive.

Setting the stall out with the same, tired old excuse can't be good. It's frustrating, it's tedious and above all, it's defeatist.

David Moyes bemoaned the “£400million difference” between the Chelsea and Everton squads following his team’s defeat at Stamford Bridge

Speaking in his post match press conference, Moyes said: “Maybe that £400million difference might have showed up after 15-20 minutes, eh?

Less old "Poor old David Moyes doing his best at tired, old little Everton". Get on with it - your job is to manage the resources at your disposal, not cry and whine about what others have got in comparison. If your going to do that, don't conveniently forget when QPR, Birmingham, Wolves and West Brom turn us over.

He fails to realise (or at least admit) that the reason we're losing half of these games isn't because the other team have spent millions, it's because we're playing like utter ****e.

I mean we nearly lost against Wigan FFS. WIGAN.

Very well put.

Was he saying that two seasons ago when we did them 2-1 at Goodison? Or last seasons Carling Cup fixture at Stamford Bridge?

Thought not.

He has made a career out of excuses at Everton. if you say something enough people will start to believe. in every interview he does he mentions something negative so people think, that moyes works mirracles with his injuries or no money etc etc. He has managed to con the media and Alot of Everton fans. Evertonians now are starting to see through him as i did years ago. He let his guard down once when he said he had a great squad and we would be going for 4th place. Guess what he failed and the same old excuses stared to come out. this man is a fraud and sholdn't be let anywhee near a premiership fooball team. our style of play would't look out of place in conference football which is exactly where he should by plying his trade.

The weight of expectation is taking its toll...players, manager and fans. This is trench warfare at its worst, you can't dig sideways trenches and expect progress. All this talk of formation and who to play etc is pointless...no matter what we put out there, we're mid-table at best.

I disagree, I think if we actually went after teams, or actually set up to counter attack against the bigger teams, then we could well finish in Europe.
We frustrated City for 60 minutes, if we had, say, Drenthe and Gueye on the wings with Barkley in CM with Vellios up top, they would actually of posed a threat on the break and we could've won it. As it stood, we had Fellaini and Cahill up front. They aren't going to win us a game. Moyes sets up to lose games, currently.

He needs to sort his own house out and stop moaning about other clubs money matters, he knew exactly what he was getting into when he become one of the top earners in the league.

Sorry, but that's just not true. We have a team who have proven that they can match the best teams in the league on their day. Our problem is and has for years been consistency. We get turned over by teams who are worse than us. If the squad we have were used properly and played to their potential we could finish in Europe.

There are only three teams at the moment who i see as being a cut above the rest, and that's City, United, and Chelsea.

If you look at it on a match-to-match basis, perhaps, but this is a long season and we're not prepared to cope. If we finish higher than 10th I'll be truly amazed, for once. And don't accuse professionals of going out to lose, it's ridiculous...you don't get far in ANY profession (well politics might be an exception) setting out to lose.

As Davek said in another thread, things are just coming home to roost now.

Substitution for Everton, coming off number 17, Tim Cahill and coming on number 18, Phil Neville

I didn't mean he's intentionally setting us out to lose, but he is setting us up to lose games with his negative tactics and formations (unintentionally, because he's stubborn, etc). I can see how that could've been taken the wrong way.
