Moyes is NOT incompetent.

mythbuster

Player Valuation: £35m
I've seen that phrase thrown around a lot: "Moyes is an incompetent manager." It's laughable.

Is he great? It's not looking that way.

Is he good? Arguably.

Is he competent? Most definitely! He more than held his own with us for 11 years in the most competitive league in the world, and anybody who thinks he's an incompetent football manager should go and lie down.

No ones getting relegated with rusty in charge, no ones winning anything with him in charge either, average rank

Just out of interest mate, what managers who currently or during Moyes management career, do you think have been better than him in this country?

you want me to make a list of the last 15 years, christ mate, I've just in half cut, lets just say everyone who has won something, plus a few others who had the balls to dream of a team without osman and neville running the midfield

Feel sorry for him now, he done a great job for us and was rewarded by Ferguson, but the man u players ruined it for him.

@Walken So, basically, you're saying, that given our finances, and looking at managers who have operated in this country, we would have been better off sacking Moyes long ago and replacing him with McLeish or McClaren? Or maybe we could have pushed the boat out and got Redknapp? :p

Doesn't really matter anyway, because we've now got the better manager in Martinez :p

I'm not gonna paint moyes as some idol, I've been consistent on the subject for years, he was okay, nowhere near great, had his strengths and had his faults, like being incredibly slow tactically for someone who spends so much time in football, I wasnt sad he left and I couldnt care less about his fortunes now, I had a great day last sunday singing rips at him and neville, our success that day had as much if not more to do with his faults as it did with his strengths in building a platform. No more neville, no more hibbert and less osman

I'm not asking you to change your opinion on Moyes mate. You said you would have swapped him for anybody that had won something during his tenure here at Everton. Do you think we should have sacked him years ago and replaced him with McLeish, McLaren or Redknapp?

Well I didnt say that did I, the one thing i will give that fat hom kenwright credit for is his due process when appointing a new manager, instead of just plucking a manager off the prem roundabout. Having said that those managers have showed qualitites moyes lacks, not better managers than moyes overall, but there success, even if it is isolated shows how badly moyes failed in certain areas

Please don't link Ossie with Neville in this or any other context.

Ossie might not be the best player in the world but he is an Evertonian to his core.

Neville is a twit (with an "a") who was raised above his station by a flawed man and then proceeded to suck up to those who done said flawed man down.

Well I didnt say that did I,

I think you might find you did... Or was it just hyperbole?

"Just out of interest mate, what managers who currently or during Moyes management career, do you think have been better than him in this country?"

" lets just say everyone who has won something."

It should be noted that I'd previously stated "considering our finances" or words to such effect...

your not quoting your insinuating to suit your argument

Question one:

"Just out of interest mate, what managers who currently or during Moyes management career, do you think have been better than him in this country?"

Answer one "
you want me to make a list of the last 15 years, christ mate, I've just in half cut, lets just say everyone who has won something, plus a few others who had the balls to dream of a team without osman and neville running the midfield"

Question two:

You did say that EVERYONE who had won something had been better managers in this country. So, seeing as you think they are better managers, do you think we should have sacked Moyes years ago and replaced him with Mcleish, Mclaren or Redknapp? How about Laudrup?

Insinuating my arse! You're talking out of yours...
