Speaking following confirmation of Landon Donovans loan move in the new year, Everton manager David Moyes confirmed that he expects more to follow in January.

Moyes: "He is the first of two or three players I want to bring in in January."

Why not say: five or six?

Seriously, I wonder if he was referring to brief lmidseason oans, like Donovan, or actual purchases?
