Moyes said "...But if you were going to talk about a wide player tonight you could only talk about Seamus Coleman. I think Assou-Ekotto is one of the best left backs in the league and he gave him a really tough night.”

I like Moyes and wouldn't want him to go anywhere, but if he thinks Assou-Ekotto is one of the best left backs in the league then he needs his eyes testing... the Spurs left back is the weakest member of their team and I think it's he who get's exposed everytime we play them!!!

Am happy for any comments disagreeing with this, but hoping I'm not the only one who doesn't rate Assou-Ekotto!?

I think BAE is pretty decent, myself. Watch Spurs occasionally as one of my best mates supports them and my uncle holds a season ticket at WHL and have seen some really good games from him. One of the best left backs in the league is probably stretching it a bit, but he's not the weak link in their team.

My mate told me he'd heard that BAE actually doesn't like football, he just happens to be good at it so makes it his living. He doesn't know anything about the other teams and takes no interest in it otherwise. Odd.

Thats a cracking story if true.

Assou-Ekotto is, and always has been, pants.

However Moyes knows what he's doing. By praising him, he's praising Coleman.

I think BAE is one of those players, that when he is bad, he is bad but when he is good he is very good he dont seem to have an inbetween.

i just think he is 1 of those players like knobhead glen johnson and to a slight degree our own coleman a lot better at going forward but when he had to defend continually like last night he looks [Poor language removed]

hes going to be having nightmares bout coleman for a long long time

The MOTD pundits pointed out how bad Assou-Ekotto was last night.

That's MOTD for you !! When its one of their 'Darling Teams' like Spurs, Man U or the [Poor language removed] , it's always they who have played poorly or one player let them down ! It's NEVER us who made them look [Poor language removed] !!! That's why it's crap nowadays !!
