Moyes blasts Faddy critics

A week ago we had a squad many people thought was light up front. Now we have the same squad plus James McFadden. It's debatable whether we have much money, and even if we do we can't sign contracted players until January, so this gives us another body for the next 10 weeks. If he doesn't work out it hasn't cost us a great deal.

Sure we'd all prefer us to sign Moutinho than McFadden, but a bit of realism over our situation wouldn't go amis.

I said in another thread thats its a good signing purely and simply because of the situation we find ourselves in with little to no money and a lightweight strikeforce, it gives us an experienced body as backup just in case.

But its the situation we find ourselves in with little to no money and a lightweight strikeforce which is the problem.

Its like applying a plaster to a gunshot wound, you ain't thankful for the plaster.

McFadden who Moyes, "doesn't know about his knee." It hardly instils confidence to the ones that have questioned the signing.

I bet it really makes his employees feel great when they can't get on for love nor money, when the striker is left on the bench and the defender sent on, when he signs them and they never get a look in except to be played out of position and then dropped.

There was some research done a while back on Australian (I think) cricketers. It basically showed that those that made a good start to their test careers did much better for much longer than those who suffered a poor beginning.

Given how fickle many of our fans are it doesn't seem surprising that Moyes wants to bed new signings in slowly. You'd think given that it's worked well for the likes of Jags, Lescott and Baines that people would cut him some slack.

I agree with this statement.

But play Barkley FFS MOYLESES.

JOL WOULD

The man puzzles me at times, honestly. He's making a mountain over a molehill.

We all know McFadden is simply the next Gardner/Castillo, and we don't care whether he's here or not.

People aren't really being negative about him, they're just disinterested. There's a difference.

There's an air of paranoia and incompetency around Everton at the moment.

Its obvious that people aren't really arsed with the signing, its as if he's come out in advance with this new found arsey attitude of his to tell us that this means that Barkley/Bily/Drenthe will get even less play time.

He should be behind all three in the pecking order, yet wont be.

the man thinks the worlds against him , but he still gets his 65 big ones every week .the world is against us the fans were the ones getting **** all over .if he doesnt like it get to fuk

Very much this. He's paid well enough to keep his negative remarks to himself. He knows what he's in for with this job, so stop being so negative on the pitch and you wont have to moan so much.

Think its a pointless signing already have Vellios Big Dennis on bench,McFadden wasnt good enough last time,Moyes really baffeling me lately.

It looks like he's creating problems where none exist. I mean, FFS, who thought the McFadden signing was a major issue to be getting worked up about? Just get the points on the table and do your job.

Too lazy to link it but when you have some time, go read the McFadden thread.

Plenty on here weren't thrilled about the signing.
