Player Valuation: £70m
Relatively speaking? I am prepared to say that David Moyes is a better manager than Howard Kendall. Personally I think out of the top 4 we are the best team in the league. I think we have the best players, the best character, everyone is in it for the team.

Of course there styles are different, but I can't imagine anyone else in charge at the moment. That is a good thing.

Moyes is making good choices, we have just won the last 4 games since 1991. He has signed quality and got rid of deadwood. He is bringing through young players like Anichebe and Vaughan, and he is addressed all the key areas of the squad.

No doubt this will cause some waves, but I don't care. I love my manager and I am so happy he is the guy they are talking to after the games have finished. I look forward to it.

good post ghost and i do agree to a point!!

silverware (just one piece would do) then yes what this man has done is great!!

just think back 10 years and were wew where!!

but i also think BK needs a mention as he is the man that started the turn around!

unfair to compare, football has changed in the past 20 years, theres more money around and the draw from the continent has been a factor.

i think he is too personally invested in us now, lets be fair, he has had to struggle and fight to get us to where we are, it has been no picnic.

im a moyes fan, i'd like to see him stay and continue to improve us and be the first manager in the new everton stadium.

Didn't we win 6 on the run a few years ago? Possiblt the seaon we finished 4th, including a few 1-0 wins?

so four on the bounce, first time since 1991 - what happens when we beat nuremburg on thursday and beat them - its 5 on the bounce and the first time since?

suits and hopfully we will do that together mate!

I disagree, I think for what he has had to work with he has done a sterling job.

thats part and parcel of my view, back in the 80's my understanding is there werent 4 major league powerhouses with money to burn, and crazy TV money earnings. kendall still had to assemble the players, and get them playing.

the game has changed though.

the foreign invasion in the prem is a factor, its helped the product to the detriment of the national side, but we want spectacle and entertainment.

the 80's were golden, made all the sweeter by being masterminded by one of the trinity. that can never be downplayed.

what i have to say is, moyes came in and has us in the strongest position since then. cheers for moyes and bill who took the chance on the newcomer from preston.

I think you can compare. It is still about beating what is in front of you. Yes, there is the big 4 now but when the dome took over we were in a worse shape than when Moyes did. Moyes is doing a good job and we are starting to see stylish moves which makes me believe in him more. But by this time in his tenure Howard had won silverware. As things stand Kendall is at least 5 trophies ahead. Hope i am proved wrong though!!!
