Moving nearer the neighbours?

If those residents nearby dont want it Liverpool will be bogged down by appeals and enquiries for years.

I think it's a crock of shit myself. Liverpool FC bureaucrats quoting some council underling and trying to add to the 'feelgood factor' around the appointment of a new manager and taking the heat out of fan criticism of 'dem Yanks' while they're in the country. The story also goes right against what the council and Joe Anderson in particular have said about developing Anfield.

RS can develop Anfield but there is absolutely no chance of developing Goodison is there???

LCC would tell us to **** off, like they did when we enquired in the 90's.

Remember, we were second choice for Kings Dock. Libpewl football cult knocked it back because 55k was too small for them.

LLC bending over backwards and doing the dirty work for them lot again, disgrace.

Anyone remember the story about the sisters who would not sell the family home to LFC, the best supporters in the land would give them abuse and post dog **** through the letterbox. Saying that, it was probably Chelsea.

Tbh at GP the stands just need re doing apart from The Park End. I don't think we need a bigger than 40000 capacity. So 1 by one knock the stands down and build them exactly the same size except maybe higher ffs. That way we have a modern stadium, no wooden seats that's exactly like goodison and wouldn't mean re locating local residents.

I am a ****ing genius ffs.

That way we won't be able to lumber someone else with the cost/actual ownership of the place so it's not a goer.

Also we won't be able to sell a brand spanking new stadium in an ideal area to new owners so the current board make a fortune on their shares

I know, God I wish there was a clear reason why Everton are in financial trouble all the time.......

It's a chicken and egg thing. We can't afford a new stadium or re-built GP, and without it we can't increase our revenues by that much, although improved marketing and merchandising would help. We HAVE to get in the CL groups stages to pay off the debt. Then we probably need to do it again to afford anything like a new stadium.
