Defending is an art itself. I used to like how at Inter he would drop his holding midfielder between the two centrebacks to create five at the back when they were under the cosh but then he could step out with the ball too. Barry kind of does that when Jags and Distin pull wide for us to receive the ball from Howard.

He is tactically astute going forward too though. When Real went to Old Trafford and Nani got sent off he immediately brought Modric on for his rightback. Once they'd got back into the game he reshuffled to four at the back again.

They are a team of snides though, you're right. They are the masters of time-wasting and game-management.

That away performance at Barcelona was the most magnificent example of that, it was so snide even Zlatan shrivelled up like a slug in a salt mine.

If he was playing Bayern yesterday he would have set up the same way Moyes did. I want to like the guy, but the football is kind of dire and his whining is worse than Wenger.

yeah, they were more entertaining to watch when he first came over here. but he's a winner. he's a top top manager and knows how to win, whatever way. his tactics at the etihad were carried out superbly.

There is no doubt that he's one of the the best managers in the game. I can also appriciate good defense and setting up defensively, hell I watch everton. Its just the side and snidey stuff that bothers me.

José Mourinho has responded to Roy Keane’s criticism of him with a sarcastic retort in which he intimated that neither the Aston Villa assistant or the manager, Paul Lambert, are role models.

The Chelsea manager, who was described as a “disgrace” by Keane for offering his hand before the Aston Villa and Chelsea match had reached full time, said: “I appreciate the comments. I think they are both two great examples of polite and very well-educated people, and because I’m a humble guy who tries to learn every day and with every experience, I appreciate the comments.”
