Each to their own my mate. If it works for some and not others then so be it. Hope you are good now 👍
Long term, I hope you are alright - My specialist at the diabetic hospital looked at my notes asked about it & stated only at the last resort he gives the GLP 1 group - he hardly prescribes it - it's too new & dangerous he stated & he had transferred from London NHS ....

I am fine now back on insulin & the computer Libra with a computer chip on my arm - they are fantastic .....

I got fat, so I'm taking weight loss drugs. I'm losing loads of weight and can now exercise again.

Anybody else done these, and what do you think about them. Personally, I think that when/if they are available in tablet form the world will change and it will be a huge benefit to society.

There's loads of stuff that this will effect, but not all positively..... thoughts?
Is it prescribed or OTC?

Read something the other day about Ozempic and how it also reduces lean muscle mass and bone density as well weight you would wish to lose. Does this have the same effects?

It's prescribed, but through a private company. There have been reports of bone density loss for a few people with Ozempic, but not sure about Mounjaro. It's not something I worry about really as I am using the stuff to get myself back into the groove. I think most of the people, not all, have been using it purely to lose weight. For me, I want it to help me form new habits. I used to be really active, quite lean and fit and healthy. Whatever it is that's lead to this, I've become quite the opposite. Plenty can be blamed l but I got caught in a spiral, and I'm hoping that Mounjaro is the spur to get me out of it. It seems to be working currently and I genuinely feel great.
I use the body analyser stuff at the gym, and there's not anything going in the wrong direction.

What does it actually do? Restrict appetite so you go in a large calorie deficit each day?

It is a GLP1 agonist. So it reduces gastric emptying, making you feel fuller for longer. It also blocks the hunger feeling pretty much all together. The big change though, and the reason it can be so effective is that it changes the way your body deals with excess sugars. It pushes the sugars through your liver rather than going straight to fat storage. Thats why you need to ensure you drink plenty of water and be sensible.

My issue with weight loss has been that I’ll ramp up the exercise, portion control, all that, drop a stupid amount of weight and then become unable to keep it off

I’m on MJ at the minute and it just restricts any cravings I have had previously.

Lost half a stone last week, probably down a stone in the first 6/7 weeks of taking it as it was slow going early on.
