Why do Everton only really click into gear when they have had a bad run? Why can't we be motivated by the possibility of success? We seem to wait until are arse is almost touching the crocodile infested waters before we heave ourselves up.

It's like they are expecting to win, but don't realise that they have to play football first.

So frustrating.

well sometimes just being an Evertonian isn't enough to entice. Although I can see the club going in the right direction commercially, I can see we have talented players at the club, I just don't think we have the right manager - and I hope I am proved wrong, but 4th spot is an absolute necessity if we are to move forward financially.

Anything less in my eyes is a complete failure to match potential with performance.

A Summers worth of hope and expectation crushed within 180 minutes.

I felt like crying yesterday.

Wouldn't go that far, but to be fair - i was quite pissed on warm Chang, that and a very rare public transport use made me quite upset.

We wouldnt have a talented squad if it wasnt for the Manager you want to sack.

"You have done great the last 8-9 years David, you dragged us from utter despair and made us believe again, but some of the weapons on forums want rid, so we are gonna have to sack you, heres your £12m pay off and have a nice career".

Look lad I've not said sack him, I'm just saying he is the one at the moment who I feel is holding us back. You can keep denying it, you can stick with your delusional attachment to the manager, but quite frankly mate it's misguided.

At the moment he is being a total weapon, the whole right side of the park is a ******* joke and has not been addressed at all. Other managers sell players that are not needed (Yak, Yobo, Anichebe, Vaughan) and bring in a right sided midfielder who knows what he's doing out there, and plays our most exciting right back since Gary Stevens.

All this over bearing loyalty makes me hate the whole club at the moment. Loyalty doesn't win you **** all, and it certainly doesn't make you happy.

I totally agree with this.

Most of the ones doing the spouting about Moyes were kids when Moyes took over. Thats the point I was making yesterday. Most are still kids really.

We should use Walter Smith as some perspective. Unfortunately most of the kids don't remember Walter Smith or Mike Walker or the 1990's.

And put some faith in Moyes to sort it out.

I think its like a storm cloud currently. They need a big kick off on the training pitch at Finch Farm tomorrow. Get it sorted. Get their heads sorted. Get fire in their bellies.

Then go out an do Villa next weekend.

I wouldn't go that far. They started off slow last year, and look where it got them??? They could've easily been in Europe with a better start. It's only 2 matches. They'll turn it around like usual...just this time better be sooner I hope.

Well if were going to use Walter Smith as some perspective, how about Howard Kendall first time around for some perspective? Football may have changed financially, but it's still a sport and the ones who win are the one's who want it the most. It's that will to win. Any team with cash can do something, but its that extra bit of desire that pushes you on.

I think Moyes has assembled a squad that consists of players that are superior to many of our rivals, it's just the lack of desire to make that next step, and it's been going on throughout the club since we first got to 4th spot. We have not kicked on, and we have gone backwards.

Ive said the same thing about Moyes, hes still learning, hes not the finished article, but nobody works harder.

The problem He has at the moment is a new 1, its not something he has came across throughout his Career, either at Preston or Everton.

He has 2, sometimes 3, 4, 5 players for every postion, he has options. The same options we have spent a Summer discussing, the same options im sure Moyes thinks about 25/8.

Hes testing these options, in pre-season and in our last 2 games.

Yes most of us would prefer to see Coleman start, some of us would love to see Mucha start, some of us even want to see Neville play upftont? Ok, maybe thats not right, but everybody has an Onion and its making me cry.

David Moyes is the right man for this job, theres nobody else I would trust to do it, hes earned my respect, hes earned my praise and hes defo earned my loyalty, so yes, while I agree hes not perfect, he has my loyalty untill the end of time.

BIG SAM IN

Like it or not, the reason we havent kicked on is down to 1 fact, you need serious cash to take that next step, Fellaini was a next step player, he cost £15m, the next step is out of range at the moment.
