Most unusual samples for well known records

If you don't make the cut and get sent downstairs they will play S Club 7 for you.

They have some good tunes , the Avalanches that is.

I'm ok with S-Club 7, sat across from Tina on a train once. Spent most of the journey thinking of a witty word play involving "don't stop moving" and the train journey. But, as always, was terrified at the prospect of speaking to an attractive woman so I played the ski jumping game on my phone instead.

While staring at her.

It's telling someone is bothered enough to be isolating these things, I'd have written to the band by now, or their legal team to get the list.
It's a very thorough mind, or minds that can create from such a catalogue of historic/classic sound. What the original idea was when initially composing this I can't imagine.

The vocal here

is in here

Second one topped up with Sally Doherty and a naughty uncredited Kate Bush from "Only With You".

Original Praise - 'only you' 1991 (Stockley)

(I've read, or think I have that there's a sample from 'dead can dance' in at least the first two, but I might be misremembering)

It 'sounds' like a cut from Sanvean, but sped up or played backwards

Good find that, iirc I raised this months ago. (James Bond theme continued)

goes direct into...

and the "A one two"?

Think John Barry gets a fair bit of use. Seem to remember Robbie Williams samples 'You only live twice' for Millennium.

Any other bands sampled themselves? Remember The Prodigy getting some stick for sampling Firestarter on Baby's got a temper

Paul's Boutique is often regarded as a huge moment in hip-hop with regard to sampling, in part because there are so many samples in the album. Just give it a spin and enjoy.

Not really a sample per se, but recently learned that Wolf at the Door borrows heavily from Maggot Brain by Funkadelic. Some suggest it borrows from Because or She's so heavy, but that's just a similar arpeggio and the songs have very different styles. But the driving baseline in Wolf at the door and Maggot Brain are so similar and both effectively creepy (music in Maggot brain starts around 1:20).
