Most unusual job you have had

I used pack fruit into bags for supermarkets. Wasn’t really unusual but had some great fun standing on the line putting the wrong amount of apples and oranges into bags to see them companies off.

Many, many years ago the summer before uni I was in Pyrénées doing something called "la castration de maïs"!!!! You had to walk up and down the fields plucking the tops off the corn plants in a certain row so it would cross-fertilise with another strain of corn. Boss student job actually, out in the sun and rain on a farm in France with other students mainly. Bed and board plus a bit of pocket money.

I initially thought that was going to be something horrendous
