Hello, I believe Everton could win the premier league, so I'm looking for inspiration. I'd like to compile a top 10 so if anyone has some cinderella stories they like to add, please do. I've started with these 3.

In no particluar order:

1. Everton who diced with relegation all season somehow managed to get to the 1995 cup final and faced Manchester United, winners of the double the previous season, holders of the cup, and who had just finished runners up in the premier league. Surely the cup was Uniteds? No a breakaway goal scored by Rideout and a double save by veteran keeper Neville Southall when Scholes attempted to level, meant Everton lifted the trophy in one of the biggest, and most forgotten cup upsets.

2. Denmark failed to qualify for the 1992 European Championships, that didn't stop them winning the tournament. Yugoslavia disintigrated into a bitter series of conflicts, the U.N. sanctions that followed saw them replaced in the Euro's by their groups runners up Denmark. The Danes had to recall their players from holiday and they went on to beat the reigning European champions Holland in the semi-final on penalties, before beating the reigning world champions, Germany 2 Nil in the final.

3. Greece, had only qualified for two other championships, Euro 1980 and the world cup in 1994 before the European championships in 2004. They were in a group that included Portugal, Spain and Russia and many considered they'd finish the group dead last. Greece beat tournament hosts Portugal 2-1 in the curtain raiser before drawing with Spain and losing to Russia.
4 points was enough for them to qualify from the group ahead of Spain on goals scored and they went on to record 1 nil victories over France and the Czech Republic before facing Portugal again in the final.
The Portugese with the likes of Deco, Luis Figo and Christiano Ronaldo in their team dominated possession and attacked relentlessly but when the Greeks took a shock lead from a corner on 57 Minutes the upset was on. Despite having home advantage the portugese couldn't find an equaliser and Greece, who had been 150-1 at the start of the tournament became European Champions.
