I was reading another forum the other and saw a interesting thread so i thought it would be a good idea to get it going on here. So i will start

hiroshima shadows. when the atom bomb went off it vaporised people in a small vacinity, all thats left is a shadow that stays there for hundreds of years. so that was a person sat on some steps
 
after reading a bit more about the photographer and the photo, it turns out the child stayed there for 10 minutes, then somehow found the effort to continue and made it to the camp
 
Crikey. Not sure there will be anything to top those 2.

I've always kept this picture, someone sent it to me a couple of days after it all happened. There was a story to go with the pic which I can't find, but apparently this was taken on the day or maybe the day before

I can't believe the photographer just snapped and left.

I'd of picked up the kid and run to that Red Cross site.
