Player Valuation: £40m

Seemingly a couple of new "islands" have been found off the Western Australian coast, which could lead to a redrawing of the state/federal maritime boundaries.
This would mean that WA would now own over 65% of a huge gas field instead of 5% and the royalties would be worth billions of dollars.

Sniff it Sydney & Melbourne, the money is staying in the West

You need it as well. $12 a pint in Perth.

I was at a function at North Freo bowls club at the weekend. $9 for a pint. Amazing, only hand over a tenner and still get change. Haven't done that for years

f*** that

My friend is down there doing FIFO, he is sick to death of it. I think he earns alot, 100k or whatever but he is always texting me bitching. I think the Ozzzy dream is wearing thin for him, he is there about 6 years and got a passport too.

That WA/Perth thing is like Aberdeen, cant live up in Aberdeen, people are keeping away from the place now as its too expensive to rent.

Yeah, but a lot of people are getting huge wages due to the mining and, so it's all relative.

It is a very expensive city to live in though
Fair dos but I bet not everybody is earning a massive wedge. Here it's around (Munich) 3 pounds a pint which you can't complain about... it's the rental prices that are the massive joke here... the equivalent of 600 pounds a month for a 40 square metre flat, with a 1000 pound non-refundable signing fee most of the time.

Rome is the same way. Its brutal. 1000euro a month for 40 sq meters, plus months security deposit, plus signing on fee. Usually pay first and last month, security deposity and fee all up front.

I have a room in a shared flat that i found online, no fee and security deposit was my last month. Was perfect.

No, not everyone earns top dollar but $100k salaries are very common.
Your rent sounds expensive though, I am renting a 3 bedroom house in a nice suburb while I build my new house for $600 per week. I thought that was a lot
