When I was about 13-14, in school I was chasing after a mate who went through a set of doors (which led to the main hall), I shouted after him just as I got to these not realising it was rammed full of 5th/6th formers. So they and the head obviously turned to see what was the commotion and as I was walking the length of the hall I had their eyes bearing up at me (it was like a raised catwalk above the hall floor).

Now that would have been bad enough but for some reason I decided to get out of there sharpish so I started to run. Towards the end of the walkway there were three or four steps (that lead to more steps to the side to actually drop down to floor level - so basically what I am saying is they could see me). I jumped these, landed on the freshly waxed floor and preceded to slide head first the 20 or so feet into the double exit doors as if I was a bowling ball. Luckily my head opened the door cleanly albeit noisily and I was out and off. Not before hearing an almighty roar of 200 people laughing though.
