Great stuff! The nearest I'd ever been to seeing this was reading the report in the Pink Echo. Happy days!

The 2nd half is brilliant, end to end stuff and from 5.50 onwards there is some sublime action. There's a wonderful save from Southall followed by us going up the other end and Mooncat scoring a belter - he nearly repeats it a minute later but hits the crossbar.

Cheers AB, this is class!!!

Can't open the links at the moment, but from the above comments is this the Chelsea away game in 87? I was there, got pissvwet through as it lashed down!

Maori Venture won the national, I'm sure it was on old firm game the same afternoon. Then the ****e lost to Arsenal in the League cup final next day.

What a beauty of a weekend that was. Fiver all-in for the minibus down. Halcyon days indeed....

Love that vintage intro, if my Internet connection was > 0.9mb better, I'd be happy.

the pink echo ,they were the days

A. Is it just me or were the eighties greyer than modern times?
B. Every time Chelsea got the ball, you knew we would win it back.
C. The philosophy was simple from Kendall. Keep it. if you lose it, harry the **** out of them until they give it you back. Pass to feet and the openings will come.

D. Stamford Bridge was a ****hole with a rubbish pitch and Chelsea were an 'also ran' middling kinda club up against the Northern aristocrats.

*sighs*

Thanks for posting this. Loved it.

Look at those poxy Sheds at the side of the awful pitch & the commentator saying how good Everton were - plus his comments on the awful refereeing that cost us a penalty.

What a lineup. And what a soggy pitch! Check out the cars parked behind the Chelsea goal first half.

Amazing effort to upload all these games - i subscribed to you for that. Thanks!
