Montreal, Boston, LA...

Well, this is a hard question--all are more than adequate. What time of year? I've visited each briefly and Montreal and Boston were both beyond spectacular. But I visited during summer. Los Angeles is very big, and very SoCal. I'm not a SoCal kind of guy. I've never visited NYC, but Montreal and Boston both go on my list of top-5 cities in North America, with San Francisco and two cities to remain unnamed (one of them likely Chicago or New York).

I'm going next summer. Fly into Toronto, NYC, Chicago and San Diego are the def's.

Has anyone been to Vermont? I've heard wonderful things.

No, never in the history of the United States has anyone gone to Vermont. Plenty have left, but none have visited...

Actually I hear it's really nice, but I've not seen it. Very small towns throughout most of it. Maine is great and I can definitely recommend visiting Maine.
