Money or Football

That pic of him last season when we went 2-0 up (in the exec box) is one of my favs.

Best moment of last season that! Boss team goal to go 2 up and then Lescott sitting there looking like he was ready to burst into tears.

I hope he ends up reunited with Hughes at Fulham on loan, they'll have both found their level then.

There's something to be said to make the highest possible wage for yourself.

There's also something to be said about enjoying what you do, your workplace, your job, etc...

It's about striking a balance and we've all heard stories about people who took on the bigger wages only to hate their job. Footballers have it even tougher from that standpoint because they have a limited shelf life in terms of playing years. So they obviously want to get the most they can but they also want to be playing as much as possible too. Sometimes a sacrifice has to be made in one direction or the other.

I think Pienaar has had a tough decision than most might think. He played every game here and the fans loved him. This was a great place for him and it helped revive his career.

Now, he's being offered more than what Everton were offering him (and not by ****e clubs either). He's going to have to give a little on this one. He'll get more money at Spurs or Chelsea but I don't see him playing near as much initially at those two clubs as he was here.

That's the sacrifice he'll have to understand he's making.
