It will only be a significant date if years down the line the stadium is (almost) built and Ancelotti proves to be the saviour we are hoping for.

Let's see on both scores in about 4 years from now.

15th Dave, that's why the "carpetbagger has brought in one of the world's top managers. Planning permission goes in tomorrow and revised plans revealed. The "carpetbagger" is so owning you. Will you have the character to admit you were wrong. No i didn't think so.
I beg your pardon. Four years here, catastrophe for most of that period and currenlty 15th and out of the LC - after spending half a billion.

Of course I was wrong.

....hope this thread doesn’t come back to haunt us. It’s all very positive but Ancelotti needs to make things happen. Weird things happening this season, I just want us to be safe from this dire points position we’re in.
Couldn’t agree more @Eggs. We need to be able to walk before we can run. His first aim is to get us away from our perilous position in the table. Only then and with successful recruitment, we will see more expansive attacking football that Ancellotti is known for.

Dave whatever the faults of the Owner/DoF/managers/players/canteen staff, today is a day just to feel good. I said it when Moshiri first took over and today it is applicable in the same way - people need to enjoy how they feel now as it might not get any better. We have Ancelotti and the PP has been put in for our stadium on the docks. We don't get a lot to cheer about as Evertonians so make the most of it.

We’ll have something to cheer about on the 5th January

I understand the sentiment, we as Evertonians can't get too far ahead of ourselves but the results Dunc got prove we are capable of matching anybody and if we can get anything like our full squad fit we won't be near the bottom. Let's see what January brings and maybe we can be optimistic.
