My point about Mills was the total 'not bothered' attitude to winning a cup. It was with Boro he won the league cup ( I believe ? ) and it shows that some players really couldnt give a toss.

i'd understand a bit better if it was someone like giggs who's won countless titles, champions leagues, FA Cups etc. but danny mills? how many cups did he even win? and when the **** did he play in the charity shield?

It was a decent phone in actually. Savage is good on the radio.

i like savage - he should be on MOTD, he's the right kind of person to add some character to it.

...but we all know michael owen will the next regular. Especially seeing as BBC always update every tweet he makes whenever there is a match on. He did tweet that liverpool would walk all over WBA so i think he'd be a great addition to the show.

also, ballack pay the ****ing fine you ****, £7,000 to you is about 50p to me, don't be such a tight git

To be fair I haven't got the highest opinion of footy players but most of the circumstance posted above why not ? In ballack's case why not try and reduce your fine ? When you go to court if you can afford it you get the best legal advice and if your brief asks if you do charity work and you say yes then why not use it on mitigation ? If anyone in court you want to pay the least money and get a lesser sentence as possible don't you? I don't understand why you wouldn't do your best to pay less your mad if you don't surely ? Man united players get free cars would you say " nah I'm ok I don't want a free one I'll pay for mine " . They also get comp tickets and ridiculous amounts of free stuff as well on discounts on anything they do want to buy & all because they have a talent that is recognised as worthy of ridiculous financial reward .

Apart from the obvious scumbags that we can all think of can many of us honestly say we'd do too much differently ?

I would like to think that if it was specifically at a charity event then I would be gracious and human enough to say 'It is OK I have 3 cars already, give it back to the charity'.

In any other circumstance then the car would probably be welcomed into the collection.

Phone in on 5 live now.
Danny Mills " My League Cup medal is worth about the same as winning the Charity Shield ! "

I remember Ben Foster saying after he won the League Cup with United he was absolutely delighted, but the rest of the team weren't over excited as it was routine for them. He felt out of place.
