I believe it completely. As did a court of law based on the evidence.

She hasn't sought attention with this - indeed, it actually killed her immediate career. Every time she's spoke about it she's been consistent. For something like this, you look for holes in the story or a motive; she's been consistent throughout and had no motive. If you think the motive is "get famous", there's roughly a billion other things that were more plausible that someone could dream up; indeed, the fact it's so implausible is also what makes it believable, as people who make up "get rich quick" plots generally keep it more simple.

I think those who don't believe her are doing so based on misogyny and/or jealousy of her looks to be honest.
