what providers are out there, i am with 3 since i moved to the uk but they are pish, coverage here in southampton is bollocks.

what other providers are out there with decent amount of data? are giff gaff any good? three give me 10 million texts a month and i hardly use them. Just need some minutes and data.. cant never have enough data.

keeping my number would be useful too.

sorry I am a bit of a n0b with this as I have only ever been with 3 but think i am fed up now and need to get someone else. I dont need 4g, I got a galaxy S4 but its not LTE, its an asian model (octacore).

excuse me now, i need to trim this beard.

tethering and using torrent <cough> clients is on my radar too.

at least 1gb of data a month i would say.

dont really want a contract, pay as you go is what i usually do

this looks ok from o2

Pay & Go Go Go: the only tariff that gets better over time now comes with more data.

You can grab a bundle from £10 a month with 75 minutes, 500 texts and now get an extra 250MB of data on £10 tariff or an extra 500MB on £20 tariff for the first 3 months. Terms and conditions apply.

The best bit? After 3 months, your minutes and texts double, still for £10. And the longer you’re with us, the better it gets.

With 250MB of data you can send up to 250,000 emails without attachments, visit 2,500 basic sites like twitter or watch 30 YouTube videos*.

To select your bundle text GO10 OR GO20 to 21300. If you go over your bundle we’ll simply charge you at the standard O2 rate.

Pay & Go Go Go lets you choose from:
£10 a month
£20 a month
Start
250 mins, 2500 texts, 1GB + 5% back on Top Ups

After 3 months
We double your minutes and texts:
500 mins, 5000 texts, 1GB

After 6 months
We double your minutes and texts:
10% back on Top Ups

After 9 months
We'll add unlimited texts:
500 mins, Unlimited texts

EE, Vodafone and O2 are the big providers. Most others like Giff Gaff, Virgin and Tesco use one of the big boys' network.

If coverage is an issue it might be worth getting a pay as you go sim for each one and see which is best.

i ordered that o2 one just now, really sick of 3, useless little ^^^^&&*

i got a B683 router from 3 Ireland, stupid thing was expensive and its locked to 3 Ireland, wont even take a 3 UK sim. i am using a BT wifi open account until i get my broadband set up here in my flat.

and I am finding that my data coverage keeps dropping on my mobile, coverage pants. Tried using my router with a 3 Ireland sim (roaming) was also pants, not usable.

not good enough in 2014

Giffgaff £12 a month, unlimited data unlimited texts and I think it's 250 mins.

Use o2 network and I've never had a problem. Used them for 6 years or so?

If you want giff gaff then stay clear of torrents. Tried that myself the other week and instantly got banned for an hour.

Other than that they are a quality network. Everything is dealt with online but if youhelp people out on Iit they give you credit back as I have recentlyfound out. Do the better the member of the network, the mmore you get rewarded.
