Mobile Phone Glitches.

Still haven't received the necessary information.

Anyway, there can be different versions of Moto C depending on where the product is sold. So in Spain they will sell Moto C that would support certain frequencies and in the UK one would support frequencies there. Digi mobile should be able to tell you which UK network it piggy-back off for its sim in the UK. Once done then you simply compare that with what bandwidths it supports. 3G uses different bandwidths and 4G uses different bandwidths. They all vary from country to country. We already know 3G works because you are able to make phone calls. One idea is to switch the internet setting to 3G to see if that works.

Another way of explaining it, is a Canadian iPhone doesn't work on the Vodafone network, according to another user, because the phone itself doesn't use a compatible bandwidth.
I entered engineer mode and it gave me a menu of bandwidths to choose from, some are already ticket,in this mode I set sim 1 to 4G,but no change.

In LTE Mode Bands 1,3,5,78,20,38,40 are ticked. These appear to be the defaults,or do you need GSM Mode values?

Try settings>more>mobile network settings > data roaming (turn this option to ON)

Go into settings> More > Mobile Networks>Preferred Network (change setting to 3G to see if your internet works. Set it back to 4G if it doesn't work)

According to this your phone should be compatible with the UK network.

Rather than start a new thread, I am going to hijack this one.
Samsung s10+ I have an alarm set for every morning, but instead of playing the alarm I have selected, it plays my ringtone. How do I fix this?

Did the basic settings months ago, really odd that any Spanish sim will get a 3g signal in my old iPhone 4 but the only sim that will get any data conection in the Moto C is the O2 Tesco in either slot.

Ok, I suggest you contact Motorola to see if there's a known fault for your device.

As with most manufacturers they want it for weeks with little hope they won't lose all your apps and data, and the idea that a faceless tech will be able to root through banking and credit card information...

I didn't say send your device to Motorola. You simply need to speak to them on the phone. Better still have you tested the Spanish sim card in another Android phone?

3G and 4G operates on different frequency bands, as explained before. The old iPhone 4 doesn't work on 4G while Moto C does. It's an Apple and Orange comparison. You have not provided information that you actually changed the Moto device to 3G. Most phonecalls are in 3G regardless on whether you've paid for a 4G connection.

I'm aware of that,I had no signal at all but last night after switching the settings between national and international roaming a few times it connected to a Movistar network, but only with a 3G signal...time for the bin I think.

How can anyone provide a solution when (a) we don't know which country you're currently in (b) doesn't follow steps (c) unable to provide info.
