Just one of the 50 odd states in the U.S. is probably about 50 times bigger than Scotland. The MLS is a growing football league, certainly compared to when it first started. The likes of LA and NY are obviously attractive places for players in the twilight of their career to go to. Even Sky are all over it now. I'm pleased that the game is getting bigger and more popular over there.

Scotland, on the other hand, is a very small country where football has been the number one sport since forever!

The U.S. and Scotland are polar opposites really!

Scotland is doing exactly what we should be doing. Focusing on developing youngsters and selling them on to the big leagues in England

Until they attract these players in their prime I think it is a completely redundant point to make, the Indian Super League managed to attract some former world class players, Arab countries have attracted some top players that are in the twilight of their career. It means nothing, they are just getting a bit extra on their pension in a league where they can coast about as they are 20 times better than the next best set of players. The opportunity to live in the US for a couple of years will obviously be a factor that has nothing to with the level of the league.
Sounds like Monaco tbh mate. Nice place to live, lots of cash, was a Ligue 2 side prior to the cash influx. MLS will do the same once salary caps are loosened. Obviously it's still growing it's only a 20 year old league. It's just a rumor but Ronaldo at 33 will still be a force and he'll still have tons of European teams interested as well. Look how many 30 something's we have in the squad.

I've followed MLS since the league began. It was really tough to watch at first, but it's getting better. SPL is fun to watch for a neutral because of the rivalries. The songs are great, and the long history of dislike between cities/teams make the SPL, top to bottom, a little more entertaining. All that being said, I'm glad Orlando has a team now. Season tickets were cheap, and there's finally something different to do that's only an hour away.
