I follow football to regulate excess serotonin.
Pitchers and catchers report in a week or two, plus this is the 83rd birthday of my favorite non-Cub player, Henry Aaron. Let's get the party started.

The 2016 season was the fulfillment of a Cubs fantasy I have carried for over four decades, and finally put the end to all that 'goat cheese' that has been spread around for lo these many years. Let the best team win.

Resign Blevins and Salas are reliable hands in the bullpen, and add wheeler in there for good measure and the Mets look like having a very tidy pitching team (no way are they staying healthy though!). Gsellman and Lugo waiting the wings when that happens though.

Keeping hold of Jay Bruce was nothing short of an accident, but hopefully it bears some fruit for the Mets.

I'll be honest and say I haven't been too optimistic about the 2017 Mets, but d'Arnaud and Conforto simply can't do worse.

I don't think the Nats have made too
Many waves this offseason, but I'm sure theylll still be a force.

Wouldn't discount Atlanta as a slight dark horse, they're slowly putting the pieces of the puzzle together and have made some shrewd signings this offseason.

Either way, exciting season ahead!

Let's go mets!

Lets go Red Sox! Have to admit I used to follow baseball very closely when it was on channel 5 (how many years ago is that now?) But haven't followed it closely since. Will probably make more of an effort to follow it this season by following it online.

Whats the state of play the last couple of years? I know the Cubs won the world series last year. But who else are contenders this year?
