Pirates attendence shoots up, they have a good pitching staff and a low payroll. Solution: Cut payroll, F-the-nuttings.

I remember my baseball thread bombed last year, hopefully this one keeps going.

FORZA BLUE JAYS

Rangers are back to their old ways. Fielder's bat will help, but the staff is lacking the depth it had during the WS runs. Not entirely confident about this year given the lack of starting pitcher depth.

Looking forward to the season opener on Monday. Not too many changes for my Red Sox, and hopefully we can go all the way again this year!

The Brewers have the highest payroll in franchise history this year, but it doesn't feel like we're contenders.

Lots of ifs and buts out there though. Garza staying healthy. Some young pitchers staying effective. Gallardo, Braun, and Weeks bouncing back from last year's disaster campaign.

Could easily make a case for the division if we get lucky, but that hasn't happened in a while.

Mets fan.

Too young for '69, and '86, My dad just came home from the States, and brought me a couple of Baseball Weekly's, and i've sat here raging at how they predicted the Mets to finish 5th in the NL east this year.

We won't contend this year, but we'll comfortably finish 3rd in the NL East, Phillies are too old, and the Marlins are just screwed whilst they have those owners.

We'll do alright this year, got a good mix of power, and youth, Granderson and Wright will be good for the batters, whereas Colon, Niese's prescense will be huge for Syndergaard, Wheeler. a .500+ season will be great progress.
We've got some alright talent in the farm system, so the future is bright, well it will be when the Wilpon's Eff off!
