He'd be a terrible main striker. I know this is the en vogue solution to all our problems amongst some blues now but its borne out of FIFA tactics type and a really silly idea.

With Chico here.

His whole thing is running at people, to do that he needs space in front of him. Playing him as a number nine is insane.

Could only play up top alongside another striker.

He's not strong enough or good enough in the air. Far better as a winger on either side or playing off a striker.

Wouldn't mind seeing him at LM though. Try Deulofeu at RM.

Did he play upfront for Olympiacos? Scored a lot if so.

I never watched those games, but I believe he played in all three positions among the front line.

I am perfectly willing to believe that he'd a decent lone striker in a counter attacking team playing with minimum possession against a high line of defense, but that's not us so who cares.

He could do it if we played a 4-3-3 with players willing to run past him and stretch the CB's. We don't really do that so it probably wouldn't work. If we played Kone and Delafofoofofoleue up with him it'd maybe work.

This. Why are we taking away the space he runs into? Leave him be, he's doing just fine where he is. We need to find him a great partner, hopefully one of the new additions fits.

Bit like how Walcott is listed as a striker but hangs out wide and cuts in, they're very similar players, he's at his best with just the full back to beat, leave him be, he will come right, we've seen his class.

He should be playing on the left, cutting in taking shots. Driving to the byline and cutting balls back. the only problem is we don't really have anyone to play on the right wing.
